Things To Do For God
The Ten Commandments
The Ten Commandments were written around 1300 B.C. by God. The real date is unknown. In (Exodus 31:18) It tells that God wrote them with his finger on tablets of stone. The Ten Commandments were written in the Hebrew language. The Ten Commandments are: (Exodus 2:3-17)
1. Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.
The Sabbath day is the day we shalt not work. God says to work six days, and rest on the Sabbath. In many languages, including the Hebrew language, Sabbath means satur in the English translation. Moses wrote the first five books of the bible and it was written in Hebrew. So, we shall make Saturday as our resting day, not Sunday, which is the first day of the week. (Exodus 20:10 “But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:”) (Mark 2:27-28 “ 27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.”) Sabbath day is Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown. That is how the bible goes off the start of a day (Genesis 1:5 “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the (evening) and the (morning) were the first day.”) Evening came first. Later in time, men (romans) changed it to Sunday, on March 7, 321 A.D. (Luke 23:56 "And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested on the sabbath day according to the commandment.")(Luke 24:1-2 KJV “Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.") We do not obey the commandments of men only the commandments of God (Matthew 15:9 “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”) (Mark 7:7-10,13 “7 Howbeith in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.”) (Colossians 2:22 “Which all are to perish with the using; after the commandments and doctrines of men”)
Things Not Do Wrong Unto God
(Matthew 22:37 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”) Every day that we get up, you have to be thankful for another beautiful day God has given us. Our job on this Earth is to do everything for God and do it to please God. Jesus says to pray always (Luke 21:36 “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”) Which isn’t that bad because once you start serving the Lord and you receive his Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit your life changes (Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”) God gets in you and shows you the truth (John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”), and you want to do everything that you can to please God in every way (John 14:17 “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”) He will make your life so much better (John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; bit whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”) The more you do for Him and the more you praise God, the more he will do for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”) Just get on God's good side and do all of his commands. There is no reason for you to be sad everyday but just to thank God in every way (Joshua 1:9 " Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.) (Colossians 3:23-24 “23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”) If it's stormy, know God is keeping you safe, all you have to do is pray. (Proverbs 3:5-6 “5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”) Before you pray, Jesus says to pray the prayer God gave us (Matthew 6:9-13 “9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.”), because God already knows what we want before we pray it (Matthew 6:8 “Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”) (Psalms 37:4 “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”) (John 14:13-14 “13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” God will do anything for you as long as you give your life and soul to him (Deuteronomy 4:29 “But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.”) Do everything for God to help you get better because in the end you will greatly be rewarded (Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”) If you wanna know how to pray, just talk to God to help you get better. You don’t want to suffer in the end. Pray that you will have good days and if you don’t have anything to pray about. Just pray what Jesus told us to pray The Lord's Prayer. Stay positive and live in the Lord because he lives in us (Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in your richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.”)
1 Thessalonians
5. You are children of the light and the children of the day. We are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6. Therefore let us not sleep as do others but let us watch and be sober. He means always be ready for his return because nobody knows when, but it doesn't mean lose sleep. 7. For they that sleep, sleep in the night and they are drunk in the night. 8. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and also a helmet, the hope for salvation. 9. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our lord Jesus Christ, 10. Who died for us whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. These verses are said to put up armor for God to get as strong and close to God as possible and he will protect you in everyday life. (James 4:8 “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you, Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”)
Ephesians 5
1. Be followers of God as dear children, 2. And walk in love as Christ also has loved us and given himself to us as an offering and sacrifice to God. 3. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness 4. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting which one not convenient, but rather giving thanks. 5. For this you know that no whoremorger nor unclean person, nor covetous man hath any inheritance in the kingdom of God. 6. Let no man deceive you with vain words, because these things come from God’s wrath upon the children of disobedience. 7. Be not partakers with them. 8. For you were sometimes darkness but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light. 9. For the fruit of the spirit is in all goodness and righteousness. 10. Proving what is acceptable to the Lord. 11. And have fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done in secret. In the verses it talks about being clean and being a child of God and doing everything good for God. Be converted into a child, if not, you won’t make it to Heaven. Jesus called a child over because someone asked who is the greatest in Heaven. (Matthew 18:3) Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.” You have got to be happy always and be playful and do everything right under God. You have to do everything in his way and be like him in every way to make it to Heaven, and what does it mean to become like a child. God said the children are the greatest in Heaven and you will be God’s child in the spirit form in the body that he will give you in Heaven (Philippians 3:21 “Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”) Just think kids don’t have a thing to worry about, but just to live and love and be happy everyday. God says to give all your fears and anxiety and stress to him and let him take care of your problems (Psalms 25:14 “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.”) (Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”) (Proverbs 8:13 “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”) because that is what he is there for. God says to fear him and nothing or nobody else. The fear will cause you to burn (Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”) Once you’re fully converted to Christ your life is so much better and you don’t have to worry about a thing, and God wants it that way. There is so much that this world teaches you, but it's up to you to open your Bible and receive his knowledge, and to become like him like I had to do. God taught me everything through his spirit and he shows me more and more each day. Just like he can do for you (John 14:26-27 “ 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”) Just like in Ephesians 5 what I just wrote about, about foolish talking or being unclean or shameful to talk about what you did in secret. You don’t cuss in front of little children, you don’t talk about what you do in private romanticly. You watch your mouth and that’s what it means. Get rid of your dirty unclean mouths and talk and say things like you would in Heaven. (Colossians 3:3-10 " 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.") Also, if you say anything like: (My God) , (My Lord) , (Jesus Christ) OMG (Oh My God) it's not right. (Exodus 20:7 “ Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”) (Hebrews 10:28 “ He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses;”) Don’t use his name unless you're praying! Don’t put anything in front or behind his name, only use it in prayer. Also, saying God bless you to people seems wrong. It's like you are talking to God instead. God, bless you. I know everyone says it, but I say; May God bless you in the name of Jesus, and that would be the proper way to bless people (Colossians 3:17 "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.") In whatever we do, we must not do it unto men. To try to please someone. Showing people how good we are, or trying to prove that we are better than others. (Colossians 3:22-25 "22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God; 23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.")
Ephesians 6:10-18 - Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Put on your full body armor of God, because the devil is always there attacking us. Knowing he only has a short time to get to you.) 12 We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers of the devil, and the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Take unto the whole armor of God, that you are able to stand for God on the day of evil. 14 Stand having your whole entire body full of truth and knowledge. Having a breastplate of righteousness, (which is having your heart being full of everything righteous.) 15 Your feet should walk you to God by being prepared by teaching and living by the gospel of peace, God’s word. 16 But above all, taking the shield of faith to be able to stop all the fiery darts, (or bad things,) that the devil throws at you.17 Take the helmet of salvation, which is God saving you from any bad thing, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. (The helmet is God ,which is your head/brain, you have to have your head to live. Your breastplate is what you have in your heart, and the armor on your legs and feet, is you also. Your legs and feet have to get around to show and teach about God’s word. Use the shield to block the devil and knock him down and use your sword to attack him with his spirit which is the word of God. God’s Spirit is true and full of knowledge. Just like Jesus was full of God’s knowledge, we can be the same way.) 18 Praying always with all prayer and being with God in his spirit connecting with him. Let’s be saints of God and be fully protected by God with all his armor on and be ready to fight, and win the battle.
